new pets

While my papa was here last January to March, he decided to have a small fishpond made in front of our house here in Novaliches. I was surprised that my parents would want something very high maintenance. It seems that the idea of constantly hearing running water and being able to watch and feed the fishes is very appealing to them. He even got out some of his gold coins to place at the bottom of the pond as part of the design. Since then, they've been cleaning the pond at least once a week, has bought more than 30 koi fishes (more than half of whom have died), and has been enjoying sitting in front of it while feeding the fishes. It seems to me that my parents are really getting older, their pursuits now strike me as those for the old and retiring. Hehe!

28 days

Have you watched the movie 28 days? In the movie, the lead played by Sandra Bullock has a drinking problem. She went and admitted herself to a 28-day rehabilitation program. The whole rehabilitation concept in such a short time may be a long shot for some but a program like this really exists. If you need to undergo drug rehab, visit stopyouraddiction.com. It's a 28-day drug treatment program located in Michigan. If you have an addiction problem or know of someone who has one, this just might be the quickest way to going clean.

upgrade

Ramil and I have been thinking about our need for another computer. Right now, we're sharing the laptop for both our computer needs. It can be pretty complicated sometimes if we both need it. We've been thinking of upgrading it also. My papa actually has an old laptop we can also upgrade so that we can have another one. Our problem though is looking for the parts needed to upgrade it. One of the things we will need to upgrade it is an IBM memory and a hard drive with bigger capacity. Otherwise, we'll just have to keep sharing the laptop we have right now.

cool new tool

Payperpost has just come up with another great tool for all posties like me! PPP Direct is here and it looks like it will make a lot of posties and advertisers very happy. The new tool lets posties and advertisers connect directly for each other's needs. The service allows the posties to set their own prices they would like to charge an advertiser. Also, the postie and advertiser could actually haggle on the final price and other details of the post.

Although this idea is not very unique, PPP offers the best scenario for the blogger. Since the negotiations are actually directly between the blogger and advertiser, PPP cuts down their service charges big time. Unlike Review Me, where you only get to keep around half of the money, PPP Direct only charges a 10% fee. More money for the blogger - which is the one who actually does the work paid for. Good news for all of us posties! The bloggers now get to keep the most amount of money possible while having the security and safety of an escrow-like service. Blogging has never been this rewarding!

As for me, I'm 100% on to this thing. I'm just trying to decide how much to charge possible advertisers. Another new thing from PPP, they just never stop surpising me. Anything that's good for posties like me, I'm all for it. Cool new tool indeed.

that time in a woman's life

I'm not talking about when a girl finally becomes a woman and gets her first menstruation, or when a woman gets married, or when a woman gives birth. I'm talking about menopause, that time when a woman's reproductive cycle stops.

A few years ago, my mama started having hot flushes and would sometimes get very irritable. Amidst all the crankiness, my sister and I correctly guessed that our mama is having those dreaded menopause symptoms. During that time, we had to learn to be more understanding and supportive of her. She didn't really had an easy time going through that first rough patch of menopause and we were ready to help her in any way we can. We decided to read up on it and learn more about it so that we can understand and help her.

For every woman, I think it is very important to have the support and understanding of people around her during this difficult time. You only go through it once.

store necessity

My lola used to own a sari-sari store. I guess I learned a lot of my initial math skills from being a seller in her store. With the amount of time I would spend on her store, I quickly gained accurate addition and subtraction skills. I used to love spending time there, the only thing that I didn't like was how she would fill big water containers with coins and sometimes she would ask us to count how much money there are in the containers. It would be a big help if she had a coin sorter then. It would make the task such a breeze. Nevertheless, I still miss those chores. Those chores remind me of our carefree life as kids. How I wish I could give Mateo such experiences.

subliminal

When I used to be in the field of actuarial science, my days would consist of reviewing for actuarial exams. Not that I seriously studied for them all the time, to the contrary I barely really studied. It's so difficult when everything is learned by self-study. Because of my laziness, I would sometimes even consider listening to subliminal CDs. Since it's pretty difficult to find them on the topics I need, I even considered making my own. I've always been fascinated by this method and I really believe that it works! Try having a conversation with someone when you're there in that place where you're half awake and half asleep. Most of the time, things from the conversation would pop right in my head.

It seems that these CDs can be applied to almost any aspect of one's life. A site that offers subliminal CDs has a wide variety of them - brain power, conquering your fears, losing weight, boosting your self-esteem, stopping addictions, even becoming a man/woman magnet! I have yet to try one for myself though I would very much want to. As they say, it's all in the mind.

debt free!

Yup, we are officially debt-free from all other credit cards. Unfortunately, the money we used to pay for it is not really ours. For some time now, Ramil and I have been looking at our loans options. With the indecent interest our credit card debts have been racking up, we were frantic to do something about it. Just when we almost gave up, a heaven-sent couple decided to lend us the money we need without interest and without any definite paying period. Hallelujah! Knowing our financial difficulties as a new family, they told us not to feel any pressure about it.

We were initially looking at co-op loan since they usually offer low interest rates and the earning also gets to be distributed among its members. Not to mention that the money we're sure that we're borrowing clean money and they have strict ethical policy. I used to be a member of a co-op and I enjoyed the earnings of the loans given by the co-op. My mama is also a member of a co-op and she has used their loan facility numerous times already. It sure beats borrowing from banks that charge high interest rates.

picture perfect homes

Ramil and I have a dream of a picture perfect home. Having lived on our own for more than a year now, we have a pretty good idea of what we want. A blue ridge real estate property would be very much welcome for us. We'd like to make our home very comfortable and relaxed. Even in our choice of furnitures, we both like the same kind. We prefer the comfortable, nice-to-lie-down-on, soft couches. We want to create a very homey atmosphere, a house where Mateo can comfortably explore anywhere. Despite the knowledge that it's going to take years before we get that house, we are excitedy planning for it as early as now. Who knows, we just might get lucky.

revo upgrade

We've been using my papa's Revo for almost three weeks now. Our red car decided to give us problems once again. It seems that the alternator needs to be replaced. Using the Revo is such a comfort for us, we almost don't want to return it. It has scratches on it right now though, my papa got into a minor accident before he left. Good thing he has motor insurance. The last time he got into an accident with the Revo, the insurance paid for most of the damages. An insurance like CIS Motor Insurance can be very useful. They offer two different discounts to make it as affordable as possible. Not to mention a 10% discount if you buy online. Every car owner needs an insurance that is inexpensive, easy, and hassle-free.

getting the mail

The house we're renting right now is showing some wear and tear in a lot of parts. We need to start preparing for the rainy season because that's when we would start feeling the effects it. A lot of wooden edges roof are starting to become brittle. We're even looking at mailboxes in Ace Hardware to replace the one on our gate. We would like to get one that would protect our mail in case it rains. Unfortunately, it's one expense we have to put off. We just have to settle for a few wet mail every now and then.

Drug Rehab

Do you know anyone who has a drug problem? I have known people who were addicted to drugs at one point in their lives. Talking to one of them, he confided that it was the lowest point of his life. It was very difficult for him because he wasn't in control of himself. His family saved him by bringing him to a drug rehab center. He has tried several programs and good thing they worked for him. He has been drug free for almost three years now.

It's important for people with drug addiction to get adequate help. A place called Stone Hawk is an example of how these people can be helped. The people who are running the place were once addicted too so they could easily reach out for the people brought there. They themselves are products of the programs at Stone Hawk. If you know someone who has a drug problem, the best thing you could do for them is give them help or find a place where they could get it.

appetite killer

Some people find it very hard to lose weight. Even though I don't really consider myself fat, there are still a lot of times when I would try to lose more weight. After such attempts, I would think that I'm lucky not to gain weight easily otherwise I would have a big problem. This is because I always find it hard to stick to any kind of weight loss diet. Especially since the end to my every meal should be something sweet...ALWAYS. I can understand the popularity of some appetite suppresant like Hoodia. Battling the bulge is really a battle with yourself - not to overeat and to exercise. Products like these that are designed to kill your appetite makes sticking to a diet pretty easy.

let's talk politics

Election has just ended and the dust has not yet settled. I've been looking through some political blogs and election time can be very busy for these bloggers. A lot of things to blog about in so little time. I chanced upon a very entertaining conservative blog. The blog can be very engaging even for readers who are not so much into politics. The posts are also not strictly political ones which provides a good breather if you are browsing through the blog for the first time. In any case, I expected a political blog to be boring, not the case for this one.

baptism favors wanted

After four months, we will finally get to have Mateo baptized. I am now so busy trying to arrange everything in less than a month's time. We've already arranged the church and reception. We still have to fix the invitations and baptism favors though.

I was thinking of getting personalized candy bars as favors. I was able to find a supplier for this when Ramil and I were looking for wedding favors. When I inquired though, it seems that we wouldn't meet their minimum order. I'm still stuck with the idea so I guess I could just make our own candy bar wrappers and then have my friend make the chocolates.

I hope we can finish everything real quick. I hope Mateo doesn't grow up to be crammers like us.

videos on iPod

I've been trying to sweet talk my papa into buying me an iPod video. Despite the fact that I am already married and already have my own kid, I feel ok asking him to buy things once in a while. This time, I feel that an iPod video is worth asking for. I plan to make the most of it though when I get it. That's why I'm looking into an iPod Video Converter. I would definitely need this to convert my downloaded videos and our DVD movies, including videos of Mateo I've recorded. The software is pretty easy to use and it's a good time for me to start trying it out since they offer a free trial.

trying paintball

A few years ago, I was interested in trying out paintball. There was a time when most of my friends were getting all hyped up about it and I wanted to try it out for myself. I got to try it and my only regret is that I was never able to do it again. My friend totally got into the hobby, even to the point of buying his own guns and being a frequent visitor of paintball venues. He's been checking out Ultimate Paintball, a paintball store. He's planning to upgrade his paintball supplies by buying new guns and loading up on gears and the likes. Since he's so into it, I guess it's pretty easy for me to try it out one more time.

I want to win!

I cannot even begin to enumerate the prizes that I want to win here. All I have to do is give the lowest bid. Sounds pretty easy except that the winner should be able to give the lowest unique bid. There are a lot of interesting prizes up for grabs. Right on top of my list is the Apple iPhone. I wouldn't mind winning the Philips HD Plasma TV too and I'm sure Ramil would be ecstatic to get the Nintendo Wii or the Bose Lifestyle 28 Surround Sound. Pretty neat. I just have to rack my brains for that magic lowest price that no one would be able to think of.

talking cordless

My mama has been complaining lately about our cordless phone. It seems that no matter how many times and how long they try to charge its battery, talk time is now around a mere thirty minutes. She'd sometimes have marathon phone calls with her friends and with papa and it's been such a hassle without the cordless phone. She's trying to look for a new cordless phone battery. This would let her talk nonstop on the phone and still be able to do some of her chores. In the mean time, she would have to settle for sitting on the living room chair while chatting it up with her many callers.

baldness

Our baby has a very wide forehead. Some people would sometimes joke about him getting bald when he gets older. Good thing that baldness doesn't really run in both Ramil's family and my family. I used to have an officemate though who was already getting bald at the early age of 23. He liked to keep his hair really short so that it wouldn't be too obvious. I would sometimes even joke about him thinking of getting a hair transplant. He could visit Dr. Larry Shapiro and he just might get a new set of hair. He'd tell me that when he gets older and looses more hair he might really consider doing it. I sure hope Mateo doesn't have the same problem when he gets older.

watch shopping

The watch that I use just bogged down on me. It's a Timex fancy watch that Ramil gave me for my twentieth birthday. Considering that I've been using it almost everyday for almost six years now, I guess it's reasonable enough to start looking for a replacement. I've been looking at Casio and Seiko Watches because I'm quite sure of the quality of their products. I wouldn't mind getting another Timex but I think I'd like to try a different brand this time. Hopefully, the next watch I get would last me as long as the last one. It's time for some watch shopping!

no more paper

My co-teachers and I would sometimes joke about the piles of papers the school would accumulate in a schoolyear. Let's just say that if somebody wants to burn down the school, he or she wouldn't have such a hard time doing it. We've been dreaming of going paperless since two years ago. It's a long shot but it's a pretty great vision. Then I learned of the Accountants Paperless Office. It seems that everyone has the same idea of going paperless! Flickthru's paperless office solution is an electronic document management system. Their software offers the convenience of paper because it allows you to look at your files as if they are on your desk and yet without the hassle of storage space. It even makes sorting easier and faster! It makes everything more convenient and it also saves a lot on staffing and storage. I guess our dream of a paperless school may not be so far after all.

living in NC

Lately, I've been reading novels whose setting is in NC or North Carolina. The descriptions in the novel somehow always makes feel that the place is so idyllic and seems like a great place for raising children. I would envision getting a NC waterfront property and some big dogs, maybe golden retrievers. Ramil and I would love to years with our children living in this kind of setting. Not to mention spending our retirement years sitting on the porch and having conversations while looking out over the water. Who knows, we just might get our dream.

win a celebrity date

Have you ever dreamed of going on a date with a celebrity? GoFish.com gives you a chance to seduce an actual celebrity. They have an on-going contest wherein anyone can submit a video to be able to score that hot date. The celebrity 'prize' that is up for grabs right now is Mirelly Taylor, the star of Kiss Me Again, Serving Sara, Las Vegas, and Numb3rs. Also part of the show are Emmy Award Winning Producer Scott Sternberg and Andrew Firestone from The Bachelor.

Since the contest is open for everyone, there are a lot of crazy video submissions. Makes me realize that there are some people out there who are willing to do almost anything for a date with their favorite celebrity. Some of them even have more than one submission to have better chances at winning. Check out the Free videos at GoFish.com and be amused at their antics. I hope they continue to feature hot celebrities and maybe next time they would feature a male celebrity to let the females get their own shot at seduction. I'm pretty sure there will be an equal amount of crazy videos to view if they feature a guy celebrity. The audience gets a big say on the videos by voting for their favorites. I hope that they also show how the date turns out.

So do you dream of dating a celebrity? Now's your chance! :)

fish finders

My papa has been a seaman since he was 21 years old. As far as I know, he's always been fascinated with anything connected to the water. Even when we were little, he would often try to go fishing at sea whenever we have our annual beach vacation. Most of the time, he and a bunch of other uncles would go out to sea and come back with a decent enough catch. They do their fishing using fishing rods and my papa would sometimes say how nice it would be if they have a Furuno fish finder. Even though I didn't really have a real interest in fishing, I've been interested in their fascination with fishing. It's actually funny how they would spend so much time fishing when they could easily buy the fishes they caught. It's one of those instances when the way is as much fun as the destination.

hawaiian dream

Ever since I was small, the songs Pearly Shells and Tiny Bubbles fascinated me. Everytime I would hear these songs, my mind would be filled with images of grass skirts and flower leis. The whole picture seems so idyllic and relaxing. Maybe that's why Hawaii will always be a must-see place for me. I would love to see its beaches and be able to compare it to ours. It would be great to go island-hopping and see the many volcanoes that they have. Maybe when I become rich, I could get a makena oceanfront condo so that I could experience living in Hawaii. The place seems like the perfect vacation getaway and I hope I get to visit it someday. A lot of Filipinos live there and some of my distant relatives in Ilocos have actually settled there. I guess I just have to save up for airfare and then we don't have to stay in a hotel. Someday, hopefully soon, Ramil and I would like to go on a honeymoon in several international destinations and Hawaii is definitely one of the places at the top of our list. I've always loved a sun and sand outing and whereelse to go but to one of the hottest beach spots in the world.

Another good thing about Hawaii is their advocacy towards ecotourism. A place who's main come on to tourists are its natural resources should indeed have a strong advocacy for the preservation of it. It would make me feel good knowing that I'm visiting a place that does not exploit its surroundings.

i love Tuesdays

Tuesdays are special PPP days once again. After the 1k Tuesday, now comes HDTV Tuesdays! Every Tuesday this month could earn posties cool stuff! Specially marked opportunities can actually include different Audio and Video equipment. Quite a few posties have won Apple TVs and PS3s already. Plus, more cool stuff awaits all posties like me, including an HDTV.

This special Tuesday is made possible by Bid4Prizes, who are one of the many companies who have decided to give blog marketing a try. Today is Tuesday and surely, a lot of posties are waiting for that special opportunity. The cool prize that can be won for today could be a Slingbox, Nintendo Wii, Yamaha Surround Sound System, or a Logitech universal remote.

Ever since I've learned of HDTV Tuesdays, I've been hoping that I could find a way to get my hands on those prizes. I'm not sure though, if the prize could be shipped to the Philippines if I happen to win one. Nevertheless, I still get so excited. I feel like a pre-school kid waiting for that special day every week when the class gets to do something special. Not knowing what prize could be won has added to the anticipation. It's like waiting for what Santa would give me. I guess I could always ask some relatives in the US to claim my prize if I do win. I just have to wait for that opp to pop out...

house hunting

Some relatives in California are house hunting. They've been there for several years already and they are so happy that they can finally look for their own place. Although they haven't seen a house that they are interested in, they have been checking out the california mortgage rate. Everything is looking up for them over there and they plan to stay for good. We are happy for them and look forward to visiting them some time. Hopefully by that time, we're going to be visiting them in their new house.

recognition of service

My mama has still small collection of recognition plaques. These plaques came from our subdivision's homeowners association because her service and hardwork in many of the association's activities. I would often joke about the 'uselessness' of these plaques and it would have been better if they gave us at least an address plaque instead. Of course, I was only joking. I haven't told her yet but I admire her for her dedication to things she chose to do. Mother's day is coming up and I've been thinking of my own way of recognizing what she has done for us all these years. I hope I can come up with something worthy.

baby potential

As early as now, Ramil and I would often try to find a part of ourselves in Mateo. At his young age, most of the comparisons we could make are usually regarding Mateo's physical appearance. Like how he has my eyes while he has Ramil facial shape and hair. We would have fun 'claiming' certain aspects of Mateo's DNA. Whenever we would praise him for a successful task, I would claim that Mateo got his smarts from me while Ramil would gamely counter it. Regarding Mateo's personality, we know and hope that he would develop his own, we can sometimes see some aspects of our personalities in him. I always find it interesting to get to know somebody but getting to know Mateo is more than interesting. It's amazing to be able to see him developing, knowing that half of him came from me. I can't wait for some more.

hassle-free insurance

My mama has been talking about getting an insurance policy for papa. She is looking for a no exam life insurance because papa doesn't want to be hassled into taking a physical exam. The time that mama applied for hers, they requested her to undergo a detailed medical exam because of her age. Although papa undergoes medical exams every year so most probably, mama will ask the insurance company if they could just accept the results of papa's recent physical exam last February. They are planning to get an endowment policy since they're getting old and I guess they would like to be prepared for retirement.

CRM software

Some of my former colleagues are thinking of putting up their own call center company. They plan to start one that has their agents working from home. In other words, they are targeting stay-at-home moms or dads out there. I told them I know of a lot of people who would be interested in working for them and would be happy to do some recruiting.

They are slowly trying to implement their plans and part of it is looking for a good crm software. Since their agents would be working from home, it is imperative that they get an excellent CRM package. They've been researching for one and they've stumbled upon AIMpromote. From what they've gathered, the software is very user-friendly which is vital to them. They don't want their people wasting time training on the CRM. They want it to be easily manageable even by people who are not well-versed with a lot of computer lingo. The software offers a 14-day Free Trial and they are planning on testing the trial software using some of our friends who have worked in call centers. The site claims to have the CRM that can be understood easily, without the hassle of unnecessary features some CRM softwares have. Hopefully, the software will not be much of a hassle because they plan to have their new business take off in the next few months. They are envisioning that with this CRM, making a sale would never be as easy.

more vacation dreams

I've posted more than once about our dreams of vacationing to a lot of places. We have dreams of being able to visit several parts of the world. Lately, I had another vacation idea - Pigeon Forge vacation rentals. I find the idea of renting a nice, homey cabin with an equally great view and spending the day with our small family doing almost nothing. Sometimes ambience is really the key. I know we wouldn't do anything different if ever we decide to do this but being in a different place with great ambience could make a vacation unforgettable.

tea drinker

Last year, one of my co-workers introduced me to tea drinking and its benefits. She gave me a magazine with an article on the different kinds of tea. I never realized that there are numerous kinds of tea. My knowledge before was limited to herbal tea, oolong or wu long tea, black tea, and green tea. Now it has widened to include ceylon tea and white tea.

Of these different kinds of tea, my favorite is green tea because of its many health benefits. It is rich in antioxidants and contains vitamins C and E. Ancient people would claim that this type of tea promotes a longer life while presently, studies have been made to link it to anti-carcinogens. This tea has long been used in China and Japan. Although some records suggest that green tea has been drunk by people in India and China as far back as 5000 years ago. It is believed that during those times, green tea was primarily used as a medicinal drink. Among the many things that it can do are increasing the energy, lessening the effects of alcohol, curing indigestion, improving mental health, and boosting the urinary system. The good effects of this type of tea has been so popular lately, prompting some to even manufacture instant drinks from it. Though some drink it for its effects on the body, I drink it mainly because I like the taste of it. Whether it does have good effects on the body is a definite bonus.

project teeth

Finally, I can go to the dentist! I've been due for a lot of dental works since last year. Unfortunately, I couldn't have anything done while I was pregnant. I'm supposed to have impacted teeth (yes, teeth - two of them) taken out but since I couldn't have any anesthesia while pregnant, my dentist and I had to forego the procedure. If only it's not too expensive for us to get me braces, it would be nice to get my teeth fixed again. I used to wear braces in highschool but because of my stubbornness not to wear the prescribed retainers after, my teeth have started to move since. Now my teeth are gonna need braces again, according to my dentist.

It's a good thing that my dentist offers a wide variety of dental services, very much like Hayfield Dental Care. I go to her for all my dental needs (she's also an ortodontist). There's no need to go somewhere else to get an x-ray or any other procedure. Plus, they both have the latest and most advanced materials and equipment. I just need to get additional moolah for all the dental services I'm gonna need.

our savior

The title may seem a bit too melodramatic but that's exactly what PayPerPost has been for our small family. These past few months has been a little crazy on the financial side and whatever I've been earning on the side has kept us sane more than once.

This blog actually started as my wedding journal. Back in April 2005, I discovered that blogging is a cool way of keeping tabs on our wedding preparations. When you've turned into a bridezilla you want to talk about nothing but wedding preps. I figured this blog could be a way to rant or rave about how we're doing with the preps even if no one is willing to listen. It so happened that I found some fellow brides and from there I was able to form some great online friendships.

Then June 2005 came and my new work as a teacher distracted me from this new past time. I was able to get back to it when again, I needed a place to share all the new experiences I have, this time as a new wife. From then on my life has been an open book online. I was able to chronicle our life as newlyweds, learning about the pregnancy, everything about the pregnancy itself, and finally, my new role as a fumbling mama.

During the pregnancy, Ramil and I have often talked about our desire that we be able to bring Mateo up decently. We wanted complete control on how he should be brought up. We came up with the idea of me staying home even though it was financially impossible. We were riding on faith. Everything was rocky financially and we yet we feel that something would come along. Sure enough, something did!

It was during this time that I learned about paid blogging. I signed up for PayPerPost and I was so happy to be able to get paid to blog. Little did we know that my blogging is our key to making it on a one-income household. Ever since I gave birth last January, our only regular monthly income came from Ramil. There were bills to pay, a lot of them and I am more than proud to say that PayPerPost has so far gotten us through all these months. As of today, I've been paid a total of $655.21 since I started. I don't care what others say about getting paid to write a post, I love writing posts for the many PPP opportunities. We weren't really counting on my online earnings to be something we can rely on but with the way things are going, especially with PPP's success, we know we can expect more in the next few months. So is it too melodramatic to call PPP our savior? Being a SAHM now, I don't think so.

Do you want to know a secret?

I've always wondered why some people seem to be very lucky. Some are lucky in love, some in money, while a few seem to be lucky in everything. Have you ever wondered what the secret to success is? If you're a loyal Oprah televiewer, you probably know all about The Secret DVD.

Written along the lines of mind over matter, this DVD reveals a whole bunch of insights into achievement and success. What may be interesting in this DVD are the people who shared their own stories about overcoming adversity or achieving their dreams. The video aims to share the secret to anything and everything, whether it is love, money, or career.

The video can be a great self-help and motivational reference. Upon hearing the many stories in the video, one cannot help but feel empowered to make changes in unhappy parts of their lives. I think it can even be used to inspire my impressionable students. It could help form their way of thinking towards life. This is one secret that should be shared by all.

storage problem

Ever since we started living on our own, Ramil and I have often had a problem with how best to store some of our things. The house that we've been renting since we got married barely has any cabinets for us. We've resorted to storing some of our wedding gifts that we haven't gotten around to using yet, inside the cabinet under our kitchen sink. Since the conditions of the cabinet are not really that good, we looked for a good box to first put all the stuff in. It's such a hassle though trying to look for things in there. The cabinet is not very roomy and lacks under cabinet lighting. But until we get a bigger place or until we get our own place, we just have to make do with what's available. Hopefully, our things will stand the less than okay storage conditions.

information online

Most of the time, my friends and I would reminisce about our own school days. Days when we used typewriters instead of a computer, when we knew how to use a card catalog instead of typing a search word in google, when we would wade through heavy encyclopedias instead of checking out Encarta. As a teacher now, I sincerely believe that kids then were more industrious and resourceful. Though I have to admit that all these technological advancements have made life easy for me too as a teacher. It's now very easy to look up references for a lectures I have to make. There are online encylopedias that are regularly updated to make sure that all the information I will get are up-to-date.

One of these online encyclopedias is Encyclocentral. Just like most encyclopedias, the topics on this site are arranged according to categories. One of the things I like to look up to keep me updated on technology is the Gadgets & Gizmos category. I am able to find articles a lot of articles from A D Converter to Washing Machines. It's been source of a lot of information, not just for my work as a teacher but for anything I might find myself stumped on.

all natural Viagra

Honestly, I first heard of erectile dysfunction when Viagra first came out. I was surprised to learn that it is possible for some males not to have an erection even if they would want to. No wonder Viagra was considered a wonder drug by more than a few men when it came out. During that time though, there were also a lot of issues regarding the safety of this medicine. There were reports of people who were too eager to try the drug and suffered from many of its side effects.

There's an even better good news for those who've been using Viagra or those who would like to try it but are afraid to. Here comes Mega-V, an all natural, male performance dietary supplement. Since it is a herbal dietary supplement, it doesn't have the side effects that Viagra has. If a lot of men were willing to try Viagra, I'm pretty sure a lot more would be willing to try an herbal version of it.

life of a bug

I am currently reading The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. Aside from the main story, the book contains facts and information about the life of bees at the start of every chapter. I've always been fascinated with how their little 'kingdom' works - the queen, the worker bees, the queen's attendants, etc. It seems that I've been stumbling upon things inspired by insects lately because I recently learned of a new bug movie. It's not the kiddie type of bug movie this time but a horror movie. The movie stars Ashley Judd and directed by the same director of The Exorcist. With the complicated system of a bug society, it's no wonder that it has inspired more than a few books and movies. This movie though, plays on the dark nature of bugs.

One of the things that I like looking to get to know a movie, aside from the trailer, are its posters. This particular bug movie has two kinds of posters, both having one dominant shade to it. Though I prefer the one with Ashley Judd looking straight at the camera. Gives the movie a more creepy feel to it. The other poster doesn't look as enticing though it can still get a viewer interested enough to see what the movie is all about.

Having been on a self-imposed movie hiatus for quite a while, I always ask myself whenever I see a new movie trailer or poster, should I watch this? I'm pretty sure Ramil would be intrigued enough when he sees this especially since it's a horror movie. Being a biologist, I think he will be interested to see how they incorporated the bug society and whether they are true to what is real. It's important to him that no exaggeration on the bugs' ways be made, lest they be judged as evil beings. Hehe! No exaggeration is needed I think, when it comes to bugs. I know a lot of people who fear some insects and the word bug would be enough to spook them off.

baby no poopoo

There is a waiting game going on right now within our small family. And it's not a nice kind of waiting game. More like the smelly, nasty kind. Mateo hasn't pooped in 4 days! I was starting to get really worried yesterday so we decided to text our doctor friend and ask about it. According to her, there's nothing to worry about as long as Mateo doesn't seem irritable, doesn't have a bigger than usual tummy, and is well hydrated. Ramil thinks it might be due to his new vitamins which contain iron. We are almost dreading the poop that will come out, most probably, there will be a lot!:)

contest addict

Wowowee is one of the shows I find myself watching now that I stay home. Very often, I find myself amused at the contestants and the host, Willie Revillame. There were also times when the contestant would be a 'regular' at joining such things. I think there are a lot of people who just love joining contests, whatever kind of contest it may be. Some are even addicted to joining online contests. One of the sites to visit for these people is Whogets.com. The site, which also has an Online sweepstakes contest, is exclusive for members only but membership is free! There are hundreds of contests to join and a member may join any of it. The contests are not one-shot-deal contests, they have a semi-final round and a final round. During the semi-final round, which usually lasts 7-14 days, the prizes are posted online and anybody may join. After the semi-final round, the remaining contestants will make statements on why they should win the prize. The final winner is determined through votes from Whogets members. It is definitely a site for any contest addict out there.

kiddie vacations

Ramil and I are very excited for Mateo to grow up and we could finally bring him to a lot of different places. We want him to have the precious experience of visiting different destinations. I'm sure given the money for it, we will be a well-traveled family. One of the things I love doing online is browsing through many vacation sites. One of the sites I was able to visit offers
